Ultima Boom 161 EQ

Design

The Ultima Boom 161 EQ is an in-ear wireless earbuds that comes in a dual-tone finish. The opening half of the earbuds case has a shiny metallic-like coating, while the rest of the body has a matte finish.

The front of the case has the Ultima branding and a single LED indicator. For charging, a USB-C port is provided on the bottom side.

The earbuds are rated for IPX4, which means they can survive some water splashes and sweat. The stemmed-design earbuds feature silicone ear tips. Likewise, each stem is touch-sensitive, which can be used to control the earbuds.

Features

The earbuds feature a “13mm titanium audio driver.” Moreover, long-pressing the stem can change its equalizer modes from balanced and normal to bass.

Ultima says the Boom 161 EQ has a gaming mode as well that can provide latency as low as 60ms. For better voice quality, the phone supports ENC.

Battery and Connectivity

Each earbud has a 40mAh battery, while the case includes a 400mAh one. Ultima claims a single full charge can deliver up to 42 hours of music playback.

For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.3. Ultima mentions it features IWP technology. It actually stands for “Insta Wake N’ Pair,” a term used by Indian brand boAt, which essentially means the earbuds seamlessly connect to a paired phone simply by opening the case.
